Training,technology assesment,refinement anddemonstration of technologies/product.

 

Objectives

 

Our institute performs all the activities as per the mandate suggested by ICAR,New Delhi.The objectives of the KVK ar follows :

• Training Programme :- To organise on campous as well as Off campous training programme for farmers,rural youth extension functionaries, officers of Agricultural Department to make them aware about the latest technologies in agriculture.
• Short and Long Term Vocational Training :- To organise short and long term vacational training programe on vegetable,floriculture,beekeeping, dairying ,mushroom cultivation,organic farming and protected cultivation etc for rural youth for self- empoyment.
• Front - Line Demonstration :- To organise Front-line demonstration on new variety of any crops,technologies so that farmers may adopt these technologies by learning by doing method.
• On Farm Trial :- On farm trials at farmer’s field on improved technologies and refinement of existing technology so as to suit the need of the farmers.


 

Activities of KVK

• On Fram Testing :- To identify the location specificity of agricultural technologies under various frming system.
• Front-line demonstration :- To establishproduction potentials of technologieson the farmers’field.
• Training Programme :- Training ofextension personnel to orient them in the frontier areas of technology development.
• Knowledge centre :- KVK works asknowledge centre at the district level for Agricultural technology for supporting initiativea of public,private and voluntary sector for improving the agricultural economy of the district.
